A swivel joint is fitted between the second stage of the RS-240 and the joint section of the low pressure hose. The swivel joint allows flexibility of the hose for eliminate hose tension at the mouthpiece for a more natural and comfortable bite.
Lighter and smaller, the SS-10 combines a large discharge
valve with a deflection tube and deflector to reduce exhaust resistance. Like
the main unit, the L.P. hose is yellow to improve visibility.

Features of SS-10
The purge button
features two types of materials: soft elastomer (RS-130)
materials and conventional hard materials (RS-110 and SS-10).
The hard materials are designed to realize ideal resistance
and a secure push, which reduces the possibility of the purge
button being pressed accidentally in strong currents. The soft
purge button includes a stainless steel frame to ward off
external shock and protect the demand lever and other
essential parts.
The new mouthpiece, developed with
ergonomic engineering in mind further enhances the comfort of
bite, fit and stability. Even with a light bite, a high level
of stability is achieved so there is no fatigue from long
periods of usage.
