The battery operated precision German movement is accessible for battery replacement and adjustments by unscrewing the bezel and removing the clock from the base. The back of the base is solid wood so that it is attractive on all sides. The brushed brass front of the clock is reminiscent of a porthole with what appears to be round knobs around the circumference.
